According to the Miami Herald, rapper Brisco was pistol-whipped and robbed last week in a Miami barber shop. The rapper, however, tells a slightly different story.

According to the paper, one of the robbers entered the shop and used his cell phone to alert the other three men involved in the attack that it was okay to enter.

The three men then entered, armed with handguns, and demanded the keys to Brisco’s Range Rover. They also stole the rapper’s jewelry, a Louis Vuitton wallet and over $1,000 in cash.

In total, the four men stole over $35,000 worth of jewelry. The Range Rover was later found not far from the scene of the crime.

Brisco recently clarified to XXL that the robbery did in fact occur, but that contrary to previous reports, he was not physically harmed.

“I was not assaulted in the robbery that took place yesterday,” Brisco told XXLMag.com in a statement. “It was a random robbery of a barber shop I was in and it really is just a case of me being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
