More and more details are slowly emerging from the Chris Brown drama. The latest being that his girlfriend, Rihanna, has agreed to cooperate with police in the investigation of the incident that took place Sunday morning and subsequently found Brown and Rihanna not participating in the Grammy Awards.

Although Rihanna hasn’t officially been named as the victim, all accounts are signifying that she is indeed the individual that was involved in the domestic violence call. TMZ has gone on record to state that unnamed law enforcement sources called Rihanna’s injuries as “horrific.” Word is that Rihanna suffered a busted lip, bloody nose, bite marks on her arm and some major contusions on both sides of her face.

LAPD has yet to name Rihanna as the victim due to rules that protect the identities of victims of domestic abuse. A witness spoke to Radaronline.com and confirmed Rihanna was at the hospital getting treatment for her injuries.

"It was some time after 12PM PST [Sunday] and I had been waiting in the ER department corridor when Rihanna was brought through the back entrance on a gurney, flanked by two LAPD officers,” the witness stated.

"Rihanna was clearly very upset by what had happened and I could hear her screaming,” she continued. “Her staff was also very shaken by what had happened. Later on I saw one of the assistants crying into the shoulder of the security guard. I left at 4pm, happy to get out of the place, something terrible had clearly happened to Rihanna."

Another source spoke to E! Online regarding the incident and revealed several other details.

According to the source close to the investigation, Brown fled on foot after attacking Rihanna and left the singer on the side of the road with Brown’s rented silver Lamborghini – which is where LAPD found her.

"Rihanna didn't want anyone to touch her, she was in so much pain," the source says.

Another source close to Rihanna’s circle told E! that Rihanna’s family is trying to get her out of Los Angeles. "They want to get her back to Barbados. They want to keep her away from Chris right now."

Brown is reportedly staying in a Los Angeles hotel and will not participate in the weekend’s NBA All Star festivities while Rihanna has cancelled her plans to perform in Malaysia.
